Fist of the Unicorns

Domain rules

Terms of service

Effective October 5, 2026

These terms cover the Fist of the Unicorns Domain at fotus.net: the public helmet, community map, chat, timeline, blacklist, contact desk, ban appeals, and the command app, including the iOS and Android shells. Using any of them means you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. Questions go to support@fotus.net.

The Domain

FOTUS is a clan community for all ages. Game names, including Halo, belong to their owners. We do not speak for those companies. The public pages can be read without an account. The command app requires a sign-in.

Accounts

Members who are 13 or older sign in with their own Discord, Microsoft, Steam, or Epic Games account. Microsoft supplies the Xbox gamertag. You do not type those passwords on this Domain. The FOTUS command passphrase belongs to leadership only. Public email sign-up is closed. Do not pretend to be another member or a leader, and do not open an account for another adult. Member safety is the top priority. A new account must answer the membership question already on record before the command app opens. Anyone who cannot answer does not enter as a member.

Members under 13

A child under 13 may use the Domain only with a parent or legal guardian. The parent must make their own account, and the parent must submit a signed consent form. We do not store the child's legal name, birthday, email, or phone number. Their gamertag is public, because members are addressed by tag. The consent record names the parent only. A child's own signup is not kept as their private file.

What you post

Inscriptions, chat, appeals, and contact messages must be yours to share. Visitors can read public inscriptions, the timeline, the blacklist, and the gamertags the Domain uses to address members. Do not post another person's private information, threats, illegal material, or anything meant to break the site. You keep ownership of what you write. You give the clan permission to display it on the Domain for as long as the record stays up.

Conduct and enforcement

This is a zero-tolerance room. Trolling, rumors, gossip meant to harm, bullying, harassment, stalking, slander, and targeted cruelty are not allowed in chat, on a gamertag, in an appeal, or anywhere else on the Domain. One incident is enough. “I was joking” is not a defense.

Leadership may warn, timeout, remove a message, blacklist, or ban. We reserve the right to terminate any account, for any reason, at any time, with or without notice and with or without a stated cause. Breaking these rules, the clan rules, or the spirit of them is enough. We do not owe a warning first.

We also reserve the right to IP-ban anyone who breaks the rules, or who tries to come back after a termination. An IP ban can cover the address used to reach the Domain and can block a new account opened to get around a ban. Sharing an address with a banned person can lock that network out until leadership lifts it.

Reasons are recorded when they are known. A banned person may file one appeal from the appeal form. Filing an appeal does not lift the ban, the termination, or the IP ban by itself.

Excommunications

Excommunications are a clanwide tradition, not an enforcement action. On the first Monday of the month the Domain may draw one member and post that name to the whole clan. The draw is not a warning, a ban, a blacklist entry, or a finding that anyone broke a rule. It does not terminate an account and it is not an IP ban.

Messages

SMS is optional. If you add a phone number, you pick the notices you want. Your carrier’s rates still apply. You can change or drop those notices in account settings. Email to support is kept so we can answer you.

The apps

The phone apps open the command app, not the public tabs. Voice lines are on until you turn them off. Sign-in still uses Discord, Microsoft, Steam, Epic Games, or the command passphrase. Store listing rules from Apple or Google apply in addition to these terms when you install from those stores.

Availability and liability

The Domain is provided as it stands. Sign-in providers, carriers, and game networks can fail without notice. To the extent the law allows, the clan is not liable for lost messages, missed events, carrier charges, or a ban you earned by breaking these terms. Nothing here limits a right that the law says cannot be waived.

Changes and law

We may update these terms by changing this page and its date. Continuing to use the Domain after that means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Contact info@fotus.net before filing a dispute so leadership can answer first.
